**Recent CDC FluView data for Week 30 (ending August 1, 2026) show a weekly influenza-associated hospitalization rate of 0.0 per 100,000 population through the FluSurv-NET surveillance network, following a rate of 0.1 the prior week.** This off-season timing aligns with typical low summer influenza transmission in the Northern Hemisphere, where community spread remains minimal absent unusual outbreaks or novel variants. Market-implied odds heavily favor <0.1 (87.4%), reflecting trader consensus that rates will stay at or near zero for Week 31, consistent with historical patterns and the absence of elevated virologic or syndromic signals in recent reports. The slim probabilities on 0.1 (10.0%) or >0.1 (1.1%) account for minor week-to-week fluctuations or reporting adjustments in preliminary surveillance data. No significant drivers—such as early-season spikes, antigenic shifts, or atypical summer circulation—have emerged to alter this outlook ahead of the next FluView update.
