With the 2026-27 Premier League season just underway, the manager sackings market remains tightly bunched because no club has yet posted a sustained poor run or suffered the kind of early collapse that historically triggers the first dismissal. Pre-season expectations, squad investment, and fixture difficulty vary widely across the listed candidates, leaving traders without a clear frontrunner. Factors such as new-coach honeymoons, ownership patience, and the absence of midweek European fixtures for most sides further flatten probabilities. Historical patterns show the first Premier League sacking often occurs after eight to twelve matches, but the current even distribution reflects uncertainty over which side will first drop into the relegation zone or miss early targets.

If the listed manager is the first manager to be officially fired, dismissed, or sacked by their respective Premier League club during the 2026-27 season, this market will resolve to "Yes". Otherwise, it will resolve to "No".
If multiple managers are fired on the same calendar day, resolution will be based on the earliest official announcement time.
If a manager resigns, mutually agrees to part ways, or departs for another job, this will not count as being fired, and that will not qualify as "Yes" for this market.
If no Premier League managers are fired by May 30, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to "Other".
The primary resolution source will be official club announcements or official Premier League communications. A consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
