The 2026-27 Premier League features three promoted sides—Coventry City, Hull City, and Ipswich Town—entering a division with a widening quality gap that historically claims most newcomers. Coventry, fresh off a dominant Championship title under Frank Lampard and substantial summer investment, opened with a 3-0 defeat at Arsenal and faces an unforgiving early schedule, driving the highest implied probability for last place. Hull and Ipswich share similar adaptation risks after playoff and runner-up campaigns, respectively, while mid-table clubs like Everton, Crystal Palace, and Leeds remain tightly grouped due to variable form, transfer outcomes, and the potential for any side to suffer injuries or a poor run. Trader consensus reflects these structural and fixture challenges without over-weighting any single established team.

If at any point it becomes impossible for the listed club to finish in last place in the 2026-27 English Premier League (EPL) season (e.g., they are mathematically guaranteed to finish above 20th), this market will resolve to "No".
In the event of a tie for last place, this market will resolve based on the club officially recognized by the Premier League as finishing in 20th place. If multiple clubs are officially recognized as finishing in last place, this market will resolve to the club whose listed name comes first alphabetically.
If the 2026-27 English Premier League (EPL) season is cancelled, postponed after June 13, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no last-place club declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other".
The primary resolution source will be official information from the Premier League; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
