The 2026–27 NB I season opened in late July with a balanced field in which no club has separated itself as a clear second-place favorite behind title frontrunner Ferencváros. Early results show Újpest, Puskás Akadémia, and Vasas collecting points while Győri ETO, Kisvárda, and Debrecen post strong attacking numbers, underscoring widespread parity in squad quality and depth. Model projections place Győri ETO as the primary challenger for runners-up honors, yet several sides share similar projected point totals for European qualification spots. With only a handful of rounds completed, injuries, transfer-window additions, and fixture congestion will continue to reshape the order, keeping implied probabilities tightly grouped across the listed contenders.
