Gian van Veen’s strong recent trajectory and higher world ranking position him as the clear favorite at 69% implied probability against veteran Jonny Clayton in this World Series of Darts encounter. The 24-year-old Dutch player has posted consistent high averages and deep runs through major events, including a World Championship final appearance earlier in 2026, while maintaining elite form across Players Championship events. Clayton, now 51, remains dangerous with proven checkout finishing and occasional Premier League successes, but his results show more variability against top opposition. Head-to-head history features tight contests with momentum swings in both directions, underscoring the matchup’s competitive edge despite the odds reflecting traders’ consensus on van Veen’s current edge in scoring consistency and adaptability.
