The FedEx St. Jude Championship features a loaded 69-player field at TPC Southwind, where accuracy off the tee and precise ball-striking around the water-lined layout reward consistent performers rather than power alone. Scottie Scheffler enters as the top-ranked player with strong recent results and course history, yet the tight distribution of implied probabilities across Scheffler, Steven Fisk, Tommy Fleetwood, Hideki Matsuyama, Michael Thorbjornsen, and others reflects a wide-open leaderboard after the opening rounds, with multiple golfers clustered near the top and several more within striking distance. No single player has pulled away, as strong recent form, solid FedEx Cup positioning, and the no-cut format keep a broad group of contenders viable heading into the weekend.
