This market will resolve to "Yes" if any player records 461 or more total kills across all maps played during VALORANT Champions 2026 (also known as VCT Champions 2026), currently scheduled for September 24 to October 18, 2026, in Shanghai, China, breaking the record for the most kills by a single player at a VALORANT Champions event. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". The current record is 460 kills, set by Jaccob "yay" Whiteaker (OpTic Gaming) at VALORANT Champions 2022, according to vlr.gg. Kills recorded in overtime rounds count. Only completed maps count. Exactly 460 kills would tie, not break, the record and would resolve this market to "No". If VALORANT Champions 2026 is canceled, or is postponed such that it has not concluded by November 17, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to "No". The primary resolution source for this market will be the vlr.gg event stats page (https://www.vlr.gg/event/stats/2766/valorant-champions-2026). However, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used. The record of 460 kills set by yay in 2022 remains the benchmark at VALORANT Champions, with subsequent events producing lower totals even from standouts like aspas and ZmjjKK. At the upcoming Shanghai event, a balanced 16-team field featuring high-ACS duelists such as Cryo, lukxo, and slowly creates realistic paths to deep playoff runs and elevated kill volumes in best-of-three and best-of-five series. Group stage matchups, regional form, and roster stability ahead of the September 24 start add uncertainty, while the double-elimination structure and potential for extended grand-final series could push totals higher. This equilibrium leaves the market evenly split between the historical barrier and the depth of current star power.
