The Texans hold a modest edge in the season series owing to their elite returning defense anchored by Will Anderson Jr. and Danielle Hunter, plus home-field advantage in the November rematch, while the Colts face greater uncertainty around Daniel Jones’ post-Achilles recovery and a brutal early schedule. Both clubs play once at home and once on the road in a division projected to feature tight records, making a split the consensus outcome among traders. Recent roster tweaks—including Texans additions to offset injuries like Jayden Higgins’ season-ending ACL tear—have not materially altered the view that the teams remain closely competitive in head-to-head matchups.
