The closely matched profiles of the Denver Broncos and Los Angeles Chargers drive the elevated probability of a split in their two 2026 regular-season matchups. Both clubs enter the year as leading AFC West contenders, with the Broncos building on a 14-3 campaign and AFC Championship appearance via additions like wide receiver Jaylen Waddle, while the Chargers leverage quarterback Justin Herbert, a stout defense, and offensive-line continuity under Jim Harbaugh. Preseason roster stability and similar projected win totals around 10-11 games underscore the parity, positioning a series split as the leading trader consensus outcome ahead of either team sweeping.
