The 2026 NFL season opens with a wide-open field for the worst regular-season record, reflected in the tight clustering of implied probabilities around 44–50% for more than two dozen teams. Early uncertainty stems from roster turnover after the draft and free agency, new coaching schemes still being installed, and questions around quarterback stability for clubs like the Falcons, Patriots, Jets, and Giants. Strength of schedule, injury depth charts, and divisional competition add further variance, while recent preseason results have not produced decisive separation. Traders price the outcome as highly competitive because multiple teams share comparable projected win totals near the bottom of the league, with any single injury or early skid capable of shifting momentum before the schedule settles.

If at any point it becomes impossible for the listed team to finish the 2026-27 NFL regular season with the worst regular season record, the corresponding market will resolve to "No".
If two or more teams finish tied for the worst regular season record, this market will resolve in favor of the tied team that is assigned the earliest selection position in the 2027 NFL Draft under the NFL's draft order tie-breaking procedures (strength of schedule, then the applicable divisional or conference tiebreakers), before accounting for any traded or forfeited selections.
If the 2026-27 NFL regular season is cancelled, postponed after January 24, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or the final regular season standings have not been officially determined within that timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other".
The resolution source for this market will be official information from the NFL (https://www.nfl.com/); however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
