Recent announcements from Myspace owners Tim and Chris Vanderhook in early August 2026 confirm plans for a potential relaunch emphasizing customizable profiles, chronological feeds, music integration, and an algorithm-free experience to counter social media fatigue. The platform has grown to roughly 6 million monthly users amid nostalgia trends, yet no launch date, timeline, or 2026 commitment has been disclosed despite the documentary teaser. Traders view the 81% implied probability for "No" as reflecting historical failed attempts, a crowded competitive landscape dominated by established platforms, and the absence of concrete development milestones or regulatory hurdles cleared. Key catalysts include any surprise announcement at developer events or earnings updates that could shift sentiment before year-end.

This market will resolve to "Yes" if Myspace is relaunched between market creation and December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No".
A qualifying relaunch is defined as the launch of a materially new or substantially redesigned version of the Myspace platform or service that is officially presented as a relaunch, revival, return, comeback, or new version of Myspace by Myspace or its owners.
The relaunch must be live and publicly accessible, including via open beta or open rolling waitlist signups. A closed beta or any form of private access will not suffice.
The continued availability of the existing Myspace website, ordinary updates or redesigns to the existing platform, the restoration or addition of individual features, or an announcement of plans to relaunch Myspace will not alone qualify.
The release must be either clearly defined and publicly announced as being accessible to the general public or otherwise made publicly accessible and explicitly labeled within the company’s official website (Myspace.com), an official Myspace subdomain, another official URL, an official mobile application or similar. Labeling errors, placeholder text, or version names displayed on the website that do not correspond to a model that is actually accessible to the general public will not qualify.
The primary resolution source will be the Myspace platform or service, as well as official information from Myspace and its owners, however a consensus of credible reporting will also be used.
