Mercedes leads the 2026 F1 Constructors' Championship by 72 points after the Hungarian Grand Prix, reflecting strong early performance under the new power unit and active aero regulations. Their Brackley-designed car and Mercedes power unit have delivered consistent reliability and pace, supported by George Russell and championship-leading rookie Kimi Antonelli. Ferrari has narrowed the gap through steady development and strong results from Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc but trails significantly. McLaren sits further back despite occasional podiums, while Red Bull and the rest of the grid lag in the points battle. With roughly half the 23-race calendar remaining, ongoing car upgrades and reliability will determine whether the current hierarchy holds.
