AZ Alkmaar’s early defensive organization under manager Leeroy Echteld, combined with goalkeeper Jari De Busser’s contributions and a league-leading record of just five goals conceded through five matches, underpins trader preference for the club to finish with the most clean sheets. Several sides, including Utrecht, Heerenveen, Go Ahead Eagles, Groningen, Telstar, and Fortuna Sittard, sit close in the market because their squads feature comparable backline depth and recent form that limits concessions, while Ajax and Feyenoord carry solid historical defensive metrics offset by fixture difficulty. PSV’s more open, high-possession approach has produced higher goals-against totals so far, tempering its price. With 29 matches remaining and typical season-long variance in results and injuries, the distribution of probabilities reflects a broad cluster of teams capable of strong shutout tallies rather than any single dominant defensive unit.
