AZ Alkmaar’s strong start to the 2026-27 campaign, including an unbeaten run and a Johan Cruyff Shield win over PSV, underpins its slim lead in the 3rd-place market at 28.5% implied probability. Ajax and Feyenoord sit close behind at 26% each after major summer rebuilds featuring high-profile additions such as Marcos Leonardo and renewed attacking options, while Twente’s 23.5% reflects squad depth bolstered by returns like Wout Weghorst. Early-season results show tight points clusters among these sides, with comparable squad values, recent form, and fixture difficulty sustaining a narrow contest where small differences in results or injuries could shift positioning through the 34-match schedule. Lower-priced clubs remain longer shots pending sustained momentum.
