The Bank of Israel's recent 25-basis-point cuts in May and July, which lowered the policy rate to 3.50%, anchor trader expectations for no change at the rescheduled September 1 meeting, reflected in the 72.5% implied probability. Stable inflation near the 1–3% target midpoint, a strong shekel, and reduced geopolitical risks following the U.S.-Iran ceasefire have eased price pressures and supported economic recovery, with 2026 GDP forecasts around 4%. Governor Amir Yaron's signals of potential further easing if disinflation continues underpin the secondary 25.5% odds on an additional cut, while contained data and the absence of new inflationary shocks keep hike probabilities negligible ahead of upcoming releases.
