The Bank of Israel's July 2026 decision to cut its policy rate by 25 basis points to 3.50%—its lowest level since 2022—combined with inflation holding near the 1–3% target midpoint at 1.6–1.9% has anchored trader expectations for no change at the rescheduled September 1 meeting. Stable price pressures, a strong shekel, and returning risk premia to pre-2023 levels support the 76.5% market-implied probability of holding steady, while Governor Amir Yaron's comments on potential further easing if disinflation continues underpin the 18.5% odds of a 25 basis point cut. Positive GDP growth forecasts around 4% and contained geopolitical risks have reinforced the consensus against hikes or larger moves.
