Indices Perps
About Indices Perps
Index perps let you go long or short on major U.S. equity benchmarks - the S&P 500 and the Nasdaq 100 - with leverage and no expiration date. Instead of buying an index fund, you take a directional position against the index level, and a funding rate periodically transfers payments between longs and shorts to keep the perp anchored to that reference. Positions stay open as long as your margin holds, which makes index perps a simple way to express a broad market view or hedge existing exposure.
On Polymarket you can trade index perps today like SP500-USD and NAS100-USD. Each card shows the live mark price and 24-hour change - click Long to bet the index rises or Short to bet it falls, directly from the grid above.
