Traders are assessing gold's near-term trajectory amid evolving Fed monetary policy expectations and recent inflation data releases. Lower real Treasury yields and a softer U.S. dollar have historically supported higher XAUUSD levels, while strong labor market readings and persistent core CPI trends have tempered rate-cut bets. Market-implied odds reflect trader consensus on these macro drivers, with safe-haven demand from geopolitical tensions adding support. Key upcoming catalysts include the next FOMC decision and fresh nonfarm payrolls data, which could shift sentiment around price thresholds in the week of September 21.
