He has withdrawn from the Canadian Open and Cincinnati Masters while continuing low-intensity training, with no sets or full sessions reported. The hard-court major begins August 30, leaving limited time for a safe return, though Alcaraz remains on the official entry list and the Winston-Salem Open (starting August 23) offers a potential final tune-up. Recent commentary from former pros advising caution against rushing underscores the medical uncertainty. These developments create a closely contested market, with traders assigning a modest edge to participation based on his elite recovery resources and title defense motivation while pricing in substantial risk from the extended absence.
