This market will resolve to "Yes" if the listed country officially recognizes Israel as a state between market creation and December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET. Otherwise, this market will resolve to “No”. An announcement of intentions will not suffice to resolve this market to "Yes." Only a government's formal recognition of the State of Israel will count toward a “Yes” resolution for this market. The primary resolution source for this market will be official government information. However, a consensus of credible reporting will also be used.Diplomatic normalization with Israel remains stalled for key non-recognizers such as Saudi Arabia, with Riyadh conditioning any agreement on concrete progress toward Palestinian statehood and U.S. security guarantees. Ongoing West Bank settlement expansions and related condemnations from Arab and European foreign ministers in early 2026 have reinforced these demands, while Arab public opinion polls show overwhelming opposition to recognition. U.S. efforts to expand the Abraham Accords, including symbolic additions like Kazakhstan, continue amid broader regional talks tied to Iran-related diplomacy, though no new bilateral breakthroughs have materialized since 2020. These political linkages and procedural hurdles shape trader assessments of near-term outcomes by year-end.
