This market will resolve according to the team that wins the Western Conference Finals for the 2027 Stanley Cup Playoffs. If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed team to win the 2027 Western Conference Finals per the rules of NHL (e.g., they are eliminated in the playoffs), the corresponding market will resolve to “No”. If the 2027 NHL season is cancelled, postponed after June 30, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no winner declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”. The primary resolution source will be official information from NHL; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used. The tight clustering of implied probabilities for the 2026-27 Western Conference champion stems from deep roster continuity and recent regular-season dominance among the Avalanche, Oilers, Stars, and Golden Knights. Colorado enters as the consensus leader after posting the NHL's best offense and defense in 2025-26, though its conference-final exit to Vegas underscores playoff volatility. Edmonton and Dallas retain elite cores with minimal disruptive offseason changes, while Vegas benefits from proven postseason momentum. Lower-priced clubs like the Wild, Kraken, and Sharks hold realistic paths via youth development and cap flexibility, but no team has separated decisively heading into training camp. This parity reflects the conference's balanced talent distribution and limited major roster turnover.
