This market will resolve to "Yes" if the listed team is determined as the champion of the NHL for the 2026-27 season. Otherwise, it will resolve to "No". If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed participant to be named as the champion of NHL for the 2026-27 season per the rules of NHL (e.g., participant is eliminated), the corresponding market will resolve to "No". If multiple teams are declared winners, this market will resolve in favor of the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically. If this event is cancelled, postponed after June 30, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or a champion has not been declared within this timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other". The resolution source will be official information from the NHL; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used. The NHL futures market for the 2027 Stanley Cup champion remains wide open in mid-August 2026, with Florida Panthers holding a narrow 11.5% implied probability lead followed closely by Colorado Avalanche at 10.5% and Carolina Hurricanes at 9.5%. This tight clustering among the top contenders reflects balanced roster construction after the prior season, including key free-agent signings, draft additions, and salary-cap adjustments that have kept several clubs on similar footing. Teams like Edmonton Oilers and Vegas Golden Knights sit just behind at 8.5% and 7.5%, underscoring how recent performance trends, goaltending stability, and divisional parity continue to shape trader consensus without establishing a dominant favorite. The broad distribution across more than 30 clubs highlights the league's inherent unpredictability and the impact of variables such as injuries or mid-season trades that could still shift probabilities significantly.
