Several programs enter the 2026 season with elite offensive foundations that keep the race for top-ranked unit tightly contested among traders. Georgia leads with substantial returning production and continuity, yet Ohio State, Oregon, Texas, Notre Dame, and Miami feature high-volume passers, experienced offensive lines, and significant portal additions that elevate skill-position depth. Recent SP+ projections and preseason analyses highlight comparable efficiency metrics across these squads, while Indiana’s prior scoring output and BYU’s schematic fit add further parity. This balance of roster talent, quarterback stability, and coaching continuity sustains the close implied probabilities until early-season results clarify separations.
