This market will resolve to the running back that finishes Week 1 of the 2026-27 NFL regular season as the highest-scoring RB under standard PPR (points-per-reception) scoring per the default scoring of ESPN Fantasy Sports. Only games designated by the NFL as Week 1 of the 2026-27 regular season count. If two or more players are tied for the most fantasy points in Week 1, this market will resolve in favor of the tied player whose last name comes first alphabetically. If the highest-scoring RB in Week 1 of the 2026-27 NFL regular season is not a listed player, this market will resolve to "Other". If Week 1 of the 2026-27 NFL regular season is cancelled, postponed past September 30, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or a leader cannot be determined within this timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other". The resolution source will be official Week 1 statistics as reported by ESPN Fantasy Sports (https://www.espn.com/fantasy/).**Multiple elite running backs enter 2026 Week 1 with comparable projected workloads and PPR upside, keeping the points-leader market tightly bunched.** Consensus projections place Jahmyr Gibbs, Bijan Robinson, Christian McCaffrey, Jonathan Taylor, De’Von Achane, and Chase Brown at the top, each expected to see 14–19 carries plus 3–4+ receptions against favorable or neutral matchups. Gibbs leads most expert rankings with Detroit’s efficient offense and receiving role, while Bijan Robinson offers volume stability in Atlanta and McCaffrey provides veteran receiving floor in San Francisco. Depth-chart clarity for players like Omarion Hampton, James Cook, Saquon Barkley, and Derrick Henry, alongside injury questions around backups such as Kyle Monangai and TreVeyon Henderson, adds further uncertainty. In PPR formats, the spread of receiving opportunities across committees and the single-game variance in touchdowns and big plays prevent any one back from separating in trader pricing.
