The even distribution of implied probabilities around 50% for Oita Trinita and nearly two dozen other J2 sides reflects deep parity entering the 2026-27 season's new August-to-May format. After a transitional 2026 Vision League without promotion or relegation, the 20-team field features three clubs newly relegated from J1, three promoted from J3, and widespread preseason roster turnover that has leveled expectations. Limited early fixtures and the absence of a clear standout have kept trader consensus tight, with squad depth, home/away splits, and historical promotion-chase patterns all factoring into assessments of realistic runner-up paths.
