The WSOP Player of the Year race remains exceptionally tight heading into the final stages of the 2026 series, with Shaun Deeb holding a narrow points lead over Naoya Kihara and William Foxen on the official leaderboard. Deeb's recent bracelet and consistent cashes have kept him atop the standings, while Foxen's strong summer momentum and Kihara's steady accumulation of high-stakes results have compressed the top three into a virtual dead heat. Lower-ranked contenders like Justin Liberto trail further back, underscoring how top-15 scoring rules and late-series volatility amplify small edges. Trader pricing reflects this clustered leaderboard, treating the outcome as highly uncertain until remaining events resolve the points gap.
