This market will resolve "Yes" if Lee Sang-hyeok, known professionally as "Faker," the League of Legends player for T1, holds the office of President of the Republic of South Korea at any point on or before December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM KST. Otherwise, this market will resolve "No." For the purposes of this market, "become president" means being sworn in and officially assuming the office of President of South Korea, as recognized by the government of the Republic of Korea. Being elected, nominated, or named acting president in a caretaker capacity does not by itself count unless he formally assumes the office. The resolution source for this market will be official announcements from the government of the Republic of Korea and a consensus of credible reporting.Faker's locked-in status as T1's starting mid laner in the LCK, paired with his 2026 Asian Games national roster selection and KeSPA Cup title, drives the overwhelming 99.4% trader consensus against him assuming South Korea's presidency by December 31. At age 30, constitutional age requirements render him ineligible until 40, while recent honors like the Cheongnyong Medal and ambassador duties through 2028 reinforce his esports trajectory without any roster shifts or public signals of political contention. An unprecedented late-career pivot remains theoretically possible but lacks precedent in professional competition and would require major external developments beyond current indicators.
