Kirk Cousins holds a dominant 92.5% implied probability in this market due to repeated public confirmation from head coach Klint Kubiak that the veteran will open training camp as QB1 and receive the bulk of first-team reps. The Raiders signed Cousins to a short-term deal structured around 2026 to serve as a bridge, leveraging his experience ahead of No. 1 overall pick Fernando Mendoza, who is positioned as the long-term starter but currently listed at QB2 on early depth charts. Aidan O'Connell, the prior starter, has fallen to third string. Market sentiment reflects the low likelihood of a late camp reversal absent injury to Cousins or an unexpected performance dip, though Mendoza's rapid development or a setback for the veteran remain the primary variables that could shift the outcome before Week 1.
