Both teams enter the 2026 NFL season as comparable NFC North contenders after finishing near .500 in 2025, with the Lions projected around 10-11 wins and the Packers near 9-10. The two-game split—one at Ford Field in Week 7 and the return leg at Lambeau Field in Week 18—amplifies home/away variables, divisional familiarity, and the potential for a sweep or tie. Recent roster stability, draft additions, and shared challenges against the rest of the division keep outcomes closely contested, reflected in the tight market pricing around a narrow Lions edge.
