Team Rey and Invictus Gaming enter their MPL Malaysia Season 18 regular-season best-of-three with comparable mid-table records after the opening weeks, both sitting near .500 in points and game differential behind leaders Selangor Red Giants. Team Rey has shown flashes of strong early-game tempo and objective control in recent series wins over Team Flash and Bigetron MY by VIT, though inconsistent results against top sides like Selangor Red Giants highlight ongoing execution gaps. Invictus Gaming, a newer franchise entry, relies on its revamped roster featuring players like Rezza and Rough for improved lord secures and late-game pressure, following mixed outcomes including a loss to Team Flash. Head-to-head history remains split across prior seasons, with each side securing series victories through superior macro or individual lane dominance. Roster stability and adaptation to the current meta will likely shape the outcome in this closely contested pairing.
