Rising component costs for advanced memory and storage are pressuring Apple’s pricing decisions for the iPhone 18 Pro, with recent analyst reports and The Wall Street Journal highlighting potential increases to a $1,299 starting point. CEO Tim Cook has acknowledged memory-related cost pressures during earnings discussions, following Apple’s June 2026 price hikes on Macs and iPads. While some forecasts expect the company to hold the Pro model at the iPhone 17 Pro’s $1,099 level by absorbing higher bill-of-materials expenses to protect volume, others note the risk of a $100–200 bump given competitive dynamics and premium positioning. Traders are watching supply-chain updates and any pre-launch signals ahead of the expected September announcement for clearer resolution signals.
