The 2026-27 Slovenian PrvaLiga campaign opens with an unusually balanced field for second place, as defending champions NK Celje sit only narrowly ahead of NK Bravo, NK Radomlje and others in trader-implied probabilities. Multiple clubs completed significant summer reinforcements, while traditional powers such as NK Maribor and NK Olimpija Ljubljana retain deep squads and European experience that can translate into consistent points hauls. Early-season results, including draws among the top sides and the integration of promoted Brinje Grosuplje, have underscored how quickly momentum can shift. With no dominant favorite emerging after the opening fixtures and historical patterns showing frequent turnover in the upper table, the runner-up race remains wide open through the winter months.
