The Croatian HNL title race for 2026-27 opens with an unusually level field among the 10-team division, as reflected in the clustered implied probabilities across established sides and mid-table challengers. Dinamo Zagreb enters with its customary squad depth and European experience, yet recent roster turnover and fixture congestion have tempered expectations. Hajduk Split and Rijeka benefit from strong home support, solid recent domestic results, and targeted summer reinforcements that bolster attacking options and defensive stability. Teams such as Osijek, Varaždin, and Istra 1961 carry momentum from prior campaigns, competitive transfer activity, and favorable early schedules that could produce points hauls before the winter break. Bottom-half clubs including Slaven Belupo and Gorica add further variance through improved organization and set-piece threats, while the absence of a clear frontrunner after the 2025-26 title decider keeps trader consensus evenly distributed heading into matchday one.
