Ben Johns and Gabe Tardio enter as the top seed and the only undefeated 2026 tandem, yet recent results show Hayden Patriquin/Federico Staksrud claiming titles with strong late surges, while Christian Alshon/Andrei Daescu and JW Johnson/Tama Shimabukuro bring proven chemistry or fresh athleticism that has produced semifinal consistency in prior events. Additional factors include Eric Oncins/Noe Khlif's rising form, schedule compression after MLP play, and the absence of dominant historical edges in a format where small execution edges decide matches. This balance of top-end talent, partnership volatility, and bracket depth sustains broad trader consensus on parity heading into the later rounds.
