The 2026 Eliteserien remains tightly contested for second place after roughly 16-17 matches, with Bodø/Glimt atop the table on superior goal difference and Viking just one point behind. Lillestrøm sits fourth but benefits from strong recent results and promoted-side momentum, while Tromsø, Molde, Brann, and Sarpsborg 08 occupy mid-table positions with comparable points-per-game rates and favorable remaining fixtures. Trader consensus reflects this depth: several clubs share similar squad depth, attacking output, and home/away records, leaving the runner-up spot open to shifts from injuries, European distractions for the leaders, or late surges by teams like Rosenborg or Viking. The bunched probabilities around 40-49% capture the league's parity and limited separation among contenders.
