G2 Ares, the G2 Esports academy squad featuring IGL SHiNE alongside tAk, hitori, Junyme, and yksjupe, faces 9INE in this Group B BO3 of the Logitech G Play Connect 2026 Closed Qualifier. The matchup pits a developing European roster (Valve rank ~80-118) against the more established Swedish 9INE side, whose lineup brings greater experience from prior CCT and EWC events. Recent form favors neither decisively: G2 Ares posted a 2-0 win over STATE but fell 1-2 to Rune Eaters, while 9INE dropped a 0-2 result to the same Rune Eaters side after mixed EWC LCQ showings. Key variables include map veto execution on pools favoring Ancient and Mirage, CT-side defense consistency, and whether academy momentum or veteran map reads prevail in the best-of-three format. Group advancement hinges on the outcome.

In cases where a team’s listed name includes minor discrepancies from the resolution source, this market will resolve based on the underlying real-world match rather than exact name matching. Recognizable abbreviations, alternate or erroneous spellings, sponsor tags, affiliate or academy designations, regional identifiers, and minor formatting differences will be treated as referring to the same team, provided the intended team can be clearly and uniquely identified within the relevant competition. If a listed team name has no reasonable connection to any participating team, or if it matches or could reasonably refer to another team in the same competition such that the intended team cannot be unambiguously determined, this market will resolve 50-50.
