Ozan Baris holds a clear ranking edge over Nikita Samuel Filin heading into their ITF M25 East Lansing matchup on hard courts, with Baris at a career-high No. 433 compared to Filin’s No. 1,439. Baris, a 22-year-old American, has shown consistent form in the draw, advancing past Mitchell Sheldon and Luca Pow in straight sets while leveraging superior experience on the ITF circuit. Filin, a 20-year-old American born in 2006, has posted recent wins including against Marko Mesarovic but trails in overall professional results and head-to-head context from prior events. Both players enter with solid recent hard-court showings in U.S. M25 events, though Baris’s higher ranking and match toughness position him as the stronger favorite in trader consensus for this encounter. Surface conditions and any late fitness updates remain the main variables that could influence outcomes.
