The 29-year-old Ukrainian, ranked around 401-416 with a career high of 299, brings experience from recent Challenger appearances in Turkey, including matches in Samsun. Pereira, a 22-year-old Portuguese player ranked near 367, enters with stronger recent momentum, posting eight wins in his last ten matches across ITF and Challenger events.
