Stefanos Tsitsipas enters the Cincinnati Open first-round matchup against Valentin Royer as the clear favorite, buoyed by his recent clay-court title in Gstaad that ended a lengthy title drought and lifted his ranking into the low 50s. The Greek player’s experience at ATP Masters 1000 events, combined with a 22-16 record in 2026 and strong hard-court pedigree, shapes trader consensus around his strong implied probability of advancing. Royer, ranked near 78 after a career-high of 54 earlier in the year, arrives with limited success against top-100 opponents and recent losses in Montreal, though his aggressive baseline game could test Tsitsipas on outdoor hard courts. No major injuries or withdrawals have altered the draw.
