Dino Prizmic enters as the clear favorite against 17-year-old wild card Cruz Hewitt in this Winston-Salem Open first-round hard-court match, reflecting a substantial ranking gap (Prizmic near No. 101 with a career-high of No. 70 versus Hewitt at No. 376) and greater ATP experience. Prizmic brings recent top-level wins, including over Novak Djokovic and Ben Shelton earlier in 2026, though he has shown inconsistency with losses in Cincinnati and a recent challenger defeat. Hewitt, the son of former world No. 1 Lleyton Hewitt, gained attention with a first ATP win over Marcos Giron in Washington before falling to Alex de Minaur, plus a Wimbledon boys' final appearance; his limited main-draw record leaves him as a significant underdog despite strong junior pedigree and serve-return metrics in recent matches. No prior head-to-head exists, and the hard surface favors Prizmic's established game.
