Hamad Medjedovic enters the 2026 Cincinnati Open first-round match on outdoor hard courts as the higher-ranked player (ATP #73, career high #56) against Marco Trungelliti (#90). The Serbian holds a 1-0 head-to-head edge after a straight-sets win over the Argentine in Barcelona earlier in 2026. Medjedovic brings stronger recent hard-court results and overall form into the ATP 1000 event, while Trungelliti advanced via qualifying after failing to reach the Montreal main draw. The surface and ranking gap position Medjedovic as the clear favorite in trader consensus, though both players remain capable of competitive sets given their experience and the early-round context.
