Peter Makk holds a substantial ranking edge over Roan Jones entering their Roehampton 1 Challenger qualifying match on hard courts, with Makk listed near ATP No. 550 compared to Jones around No. 1250. Makk, a 24-year-old with recent wins on the ITF and Challenger circuit, has compiled stronger results this season, while 22-year-old Briton Jones has competed mostly at lower ITF levels with limited success against comparable opposition. No prior head-to-head exists, and both players enter without reported injuries or form slumps. The surface favors baseline consistency over grass specialists, and Jones receives any modest local support as the home player. Trader pricing reflects these gaps in experience and recent results, though qualifying matches remain prone to variance from serve breaks and early-match adjustments.
