Mashtakov and Radovanovic enter the Plovdiv Challenger round of 16 on clay with solid recent doubles momentum and singles depth on the surface, including Mashtakov’s strong run through multiple ITF events in late August. Radovanovic, a Serbian clay specialist, has paired effectively in futures-level events over the past month. Kirilov and Lazarov, younger Bulgarian wildcards, reached the semifinals of an ITF doubles draw in Kursumlijska Banja just days earlier but exited after a three-set loss on August 28 and have limited Challenger experience as a unit. The local wildcards benefit from home support and familiarity with the Lokomotiv courts, though the pairing faces a more seasoned opponent combination in the opening match.
